Program 2008
Friday June 13th
7pm Folkmusic concert in Degeberga Church.
9pm The folkmusic meeting/festival soft starts at
hembygdsparken.
There will be people playing spontaneously here and there and there
will surely be some dancing too.
Saturday June 14th
1pm Short courses: tunes (fiddle, recorder/flute etc).
1pm Practicing of todays session tunes for
the youngsters
2pm folkmusic meeting for youngsters. The session
tunes
(allspel-låtar) for the "allspel" are available, notated (some in
mp3).
3pm & 4pm Fiddler
concerts in "Lunnahöjastugan"
5pm Dance workshop for everybody. Absoulte beginners to
experienced.
6pm-15pm(!) The dance evening starts and keeps going,
atleast til sunrise. Usually some musicians keep playing 'til late
morning. There vill be music on two stages and dancing.
9pm Visstuga (session
for all interested in singing)
12pm Näcken* plays fiddle tunes in the little
waterfall, with odd tuning, very mysteriously sounding!
Sunday June 15th
4.20am Sunrise over the camping!
12am Practicing of todays session tunes
1pm Sunday starts off as a short march for the musicians from the
camping to the festival park, followed with the other session tunes
"allspelslåtar" from stage. Those not playing will enjoy
listening
and watching the specatcle in the festival park! After the "allspel"
there will be more folkmusic by soloists and groups.
-The session tunes are available notated and in mp3! -You are welcome
to join in and play if you feel like it!
4pm This years Spelmanstämma ends and we start
charging our batteries for next years spelmanstämma!
Everybody who likes Folk music is welcome
regardless if you like to play, dance or just listen!
*Many fiddlers of old were said to have
learnt their music from Näcken. Näcken is a water spirit, who
lives in streams, and plays the fiddle. Aspiring fiddle players can
learn to play from him so that no-one can stop dancing!
